Hello, I’m Kathryn

Owner of Conquering Challenges with Kathryn

Growing up as a neurodivergent child, I often felt like I didn’t quite belong. I struggled to fit in while masking my social anxiety, academic challenges, and an underlying sense of being different. Without the tools or language to understand what I was going through, I quietly battled depression and self-doubt.

As I got older, I began to uncover more about myself, including my bisexual, pansexual, and polyamorous identities, which helped explain why I had always felt a bit out of sync with the world around me.

Back then, no one really talked about mental health. It wasn’t until college that I finally met some of my people, folks who saw and accepted me. That’s when I began to step out of my shell, embrace my identity, and build real confidence.

Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, from outpatient addiction treatment to community mental health programs, with a special focus on LGBTQ+ affirming care. Each chapter has shaped the therapist I am today.

Now, my passion lies in helping others do what I once struggled to do:
